These are part of the history or background of Alternate Universes. They are what occured before Beginnings.

Well, I’ll just let the author of these stories say it her way: In all actuality, “Morning Snarf Demons” was the very first short in “Alternate Universes”. Things just sort of built off of that idea of living in an alternate universe where magic was common place. Things go chronologically from there, really. It’s only recently that I’ve had the ideas for the “flash backs” as it were where the journals chronicalling previous hosts come it. Basically, the whole thing really isn’t meant to be orderly going from point a to point b.

Honestly, I’m still working on the backstory as it were. It just hasn’t happened yet. I mean, you’ve got the journals for one perspective, then there’s the meeting the lion pride with the red head and there’s going to be another perspective for the history as it were, as handed down by Grant’s youngest son to the Lion Elders.

So, my job, as Ye Olde Editor, is to post these tales for those that may be interested in reading them. I figured that I’ll use Sidesteps as the base for the original set of stories and Alternate Universes as a base for the newer set of stories.
